Dr. Patrick Corrigan
November 19, 2013 | 11am PST
The Dodo Bird effect describes a conundrum resulting from stigma change research that fails to distinguish superiority among discrete approaches. To address the issue, comparing and contrasting different perspectives of stigma change approaches can advance our understanding of stigma change
and moves forward efforts to reduce stigma and discrimination. This presentation will focus on mental illness stigma and stigma change research.
The series is funded by the California Mental Health Services
Authority Integrated Behavioral Health Project and in partnership with the AHRQ Academy for Integrating Behavioral Health and Primary Care, the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, and the Advancing Care Together Project
