Recommendations will be made regarding best practices for the front-end functional area within the RCM process. The objective will be to introduce attendees to a comprehensive view of the front-end of the revenue cycle and the importance of its function to the whole. This training is open to any staff who would benefit from learning the skills of SBIRT – including MAs\, nurses\, behavioral health staff\, health educators and anyone that is having conversations with patients about changing behavior. \nThe focus will be on screening procedures to identify risk; key motivational interviewing concepts and principles that are tied to effective use of the FLO (Feedback; Listen and Understand; Options Explored) brief intervention; and referral to treatment for patients with more serious substance use-related problems.​  We have asked them to focus specifically on the BI/motivational interviewing portion\, this training uses the FLO model for that portion.
